|The Known and Loved Man|

Dear Jovan Daniel Ferdinand,

On this day, August 17th, your mother delivered a beautiful baby boy who has flourished into a man that is cherished and loved by many, admired by many more, and respected by all who you encounter. You are such a force to be reckoned with because you continuously impact so many lives daily. If she had known who you would be 34 years later, how different life would be... that difference may have altered our path and I may have never met you, what a scary thought; though I feel we were destined to find each other one way or another 😁. Without you, my life would be deprived of an essence that words cannot even describe. Enough about that because I did meet you and now I cannot imagine life without you!!

Today, I scream at the Top of my lungs: Happy Birthday to you Mr. Ferdinand, my partner, my rib donor, my love! You are the big 34! Welcome to the age of transitions!! What a wonderful place to be at this point in life. So many things have been happening and as you know this life is about the things that impact us and causes positive change. The irony is most humans do not like change, but we tend to adapt because we have no choice, and the beauty is we typically “transition” well. Now, keep in mind that I did not say the adaptation is EASY because most likely it is not at all easy, but so worth the evolution in the end. Well, Mr. Ferdinand, your life is a great example of all the Hills and Valleys that has brought you to a peak in your life where the actions you’ve taken has placed you at a transition phase that will alter your future along with our family's destiny. Things may seem overwhelming or uneasy, but I am so super excited for what is to come. I am so proud of you and who you have blossomed into and it is intoxicating.

Jovan, Jay, Egypt, Jo, Jojo, baby cakes, and all the other endearing names you are known as, your day of birth is significant and one to be celebrated no matter how old you become, so once again, I wish you a happy birthday. May God continue to guide your steps and allow you to have clarity, growth, knowledge, and most importantly wisdom as you lead our family. I rejoice in you! To LOVE ❤️  unconditionally is the key to a happy life and I found that in you. There is a quote I read from Dave Willis that states, "Always strive to give your spouse the very best of yourself not what's left over after you gave your best to everyone else." Wow, that is such a powerful statement and honestly that is so you... You are a man that gives of himself, a man constantly evaluating self to be better, a man continually learning/researching and challenging others, a man of moral and ethical beliefs, a man born for a purpose, a man dedicated to his family, a man who is humble, a man that stands tall in the face of adversity, a man of high regard, just simply a loving man.

My dear husband, I want you to know that you are accomplishing life and that is to be celebrated. Accomplishments are not just measured by accolades or wealth, but by inspiration you bestow on all those around you. As Jay-Z said in his song with Beyonce, Boss, "Over here we measure success by how many people successful next to you. Here we say you broke if everybody gets broke except for you-BOSS!" The life you are living is about elevating all those around you and bringing that growth to all who is willing to aspire... YOU'RE a BOSS!!

Babe, I love you to pieces! I am in love with the man that you are, I cherish your commitment to taking care of home, I admire how you father our children, and so much more. Now you know I can be long winded and speaking about you, a subject I am passionate about, I can go on for forever, so to sum things up... I wish you a year full of continued accomplishments. I look forward to the celebrations with you. In the words of Tauren Wells, “You’re fully KNOWN and loved by ME.”

With all my Heart, ♥*❤*❣

Your beloved wife, Jenny L. Ferdinand
